The poppy seeds were harvested from our cornflower meadow which is a highlight of the park in early summer - take a look in this tour from our Park Manager Chris here.
The rose campion and aquilegia seeds were collected from our new herbaceous border running along the path in between the car park and the Round Pond - view the rose campions in bloom in this tour of the Mediterranean section of the border.
The marigold seeds were collected from our community garden - our volunteers use the marigolds not only for their lovely bright flowers but also for companion planting. They repel whitefly from tomatoes and can lure aphids away from beans. It also attracts beneficial insects, including ladybirds, lacewings and hoverflies, which prey on aphids.
