The Acton Top is one of Gunnersbury Museum’s most remarkable items; a pieced and appliqued top created by a local Acton family in 1825. An outstanding piece of craftwork and significant to Britain’s history of quilting, the Acton Top features contemporary figures in Regency dress, Biblical scenes, animals and plants.
