About this experience

Join us for an online talk on a uniquely beautiful garden

The Japanese Garden, Cowden is a ‘wee’ gem, hidden amongst the hills of Clackmannanshire in Scotland. Created in 1908, seven years after Gunnersbury’s Japanese Garden was planted by Leopold De Rothschild, Cowden was designed by Japanese landscape architect Taki Handa and was the brainchild of explorer Ella Christie. In 2018 this uniquely beautiful garden opened to visitors after an extensive restoration project.

Join Jane Clifford, volunteer at The Japanese Garden as she shares its history and layout, and the connections to Gunnersbury’s Japanese Garden.

We are able to offer refunds up to two weeks before the event. The Zoom link will be sent in the confirmation email.
